10.05.2007 | In April 25-29, 2007 the representatives of Ukrainian team were invited by President of Ukrainian Karate Association Takenori Tanaka to visit international educational-training camp Kobusino-sato, which was situated in the mountains of Gifu's prefecture. They visited the historical sights and got to know some peculiarities of the most ancient Japanese culture.

10.05.2007 | In April 20-22, 2007 The JKS World Championships 2007 was held in Naha (Okinawa, Japan), where the representatives of Ukrainian team achieve success. Ukrainian sportsmen won 1 gold medal and 7 silver medals. Anna Medvedeva (2nd place in individual kata, 2nd place in team kata, 2nd place in team kumite), Viktoria Afendikova (2nd place in team kata, 2nd place in team kumite), Anna Gnatushko (2nd place in team kumite), Andrei Medvedev (2nd place in team kata), Yuriy Martynov (1st place in individual kata among young men) became the winners and prize-winners. Vladimir Karavan (4th place in individual kata, 40 years and older) and Anton Gidrat (6th place in individual kata, 7th place in individual kumite among junior) got into final part of the championships.

Some suggestions were brought in development of organization in Europe and the nearest European Championships were planed (2008 in Poland, 2010 in Great Britain). |
